Learning a lens

Hi! I am new to photography. I have a Nikon D3100 and had gotten my first old manual lens. It was a 85-200(?). I took it to a local nursery to learn how to use it.

Not bad at all. Some are a bit out of focus, but that's probably due to slight shake and low light.

You should be proud of your work and learning progression.

It was handheld, as I didn't own a tripod yet. And also, a very overcast morning in fall. I just had my camera and a piece of poster board to reflect. I'm trying to venture into people now...... That scares me.
