this are typical very-new-to-photography shots and there is not really much to say.

you will get better much faster if you spend a lot of time looking at others' pictures and the critiques of them.
also read a book on critique

Meant as pleasantly as possible.

Thanks for the advice and honesty, I will start looking into other peoples pictures alot more. :)

It appears you have some knowledge of visual art composition guidelines. Guidelines for Better Photographic Composition.

Your camera can be turned 90° to have the long side of the frame oriented vertically. #1 could have been more effective with a vertical framing. Vertical framing is also known as the portrait orientation since people are higher than they are wide. The horizontal camera orientation is also known a landscape.

In #3 the flower would look better if the inside of it was not shaded. Because of the bright background some type of fill lighting was called for.

You may have already noticed that the camera does not 'see' the same way you do. The camera's image sensor responds to light in a linear fashion, but human eyes respond non-linearly. In other words the camera cannot exactly record what you see. As the photographer you have to make allowance for that fact when you set up a shot.

To better understand the relationship between exposure and linear capture you might find this helpful: http://www.adobe.com/digitalimag/pdfs/linear_gamma.pdf

As a day progesses and the Sun moves through the sky the quality of the light changes. Mid-day usually isn't a good time to shoot, particularly as we approach summer when the Sun gets as high in the sky as it gets at mid-day during the entire year.

As soon as you have the vocabulary and concepts, any critique will be much, much more meaningful.
Just PM me later on and I'll give you the best I can.
