i usually only shoot rollerblading but decided to try something new so i went to leath hill in surrey. here are the results

The huge amount of blurred background behind a tiny, focussed object in the foreground seems to be "your style". Personally, however, I find it more distracting than attractive. This may be so because the "where are my glasses-feeling" is so persistent.
Maybe I wouldn't mind this style as much if the background were darker? But the amount of bright (though grey) sky and the very blurred trees hurt my eyes.

I agree LaFoto, I find my eyes are drawn from the subject to the distrating background that is more over powering.
