Leaving Haida Gwaii

For fifteen years my job sent me to the island of Haida Gwaii. Haida Gwaii is a small island 130 miles
off the west coast of British Columbia. Its an eight hour ferry ride to get there. I used to go there three
times a year for two weeks each time.Sadly November 2019 I retired and I really miss my trips there.
I took these pictures off the stern of the ferry June 2019. It was a sad feeling knowing it was my last
trip there. Its a photographers paradise.

Yes anyone can book space on the ferry. Taking a vehicle is pricey though.

Nice! I spent a lot of time as a teenager in the Puget Sound. That whole ecosystem is truly a photographers paradise. Hmmm... I may have to revisit, but with my camera this time.
