Lens for Pentax K10D.....Please Help

I want to buy a new lens for my pentax k10d...i want a 50mm f 1.4....i just dont know what to look for and what is best. I am just starting out and i have been doing mostly indoor shots. I want to portraits and I am really excited about doing newborn photos. Any advice is greatly apprciated!!!

I have the 50mm 1.4 and a Sigma 50mm 2.8 macro. I hardly ever use the 1.4, I actually lent it to my sister in law. I take most of my babies photos with the Sigma, it by far surpasses the Pentax lens in regards to image quality! Here are a couple I took with it.
