I recently had my backup camera and a 35mm 1.4 lens stolen during a shoot. I currently shoot with a Nikon D7000 and the lenses I have left are 50mm 1.4, 50mm 1.8, 18-105 kit & 55-200. I can't decide if I should buy a 2.8 lens (17-50, 24-70, 70-200) or should I buy a D600. I shoot events mostly but I've been getting hired for different sports lately. Which would be the better buy?

a lens obviously, you only have two decent lenses, and they cover the same focal length haha. I'd rather have a 70-200 than a fast mid zoom, but I also prefer long lens so depending on what you shoot get one of them.

Hum...tough choice, you really need a back up camera but a fast glass would come in real handy for sports. I guess I really depends on your budget.

I'm not pro enough to offer a valid opinion I think, but personally..... I would probably go for a new lens. Especially for sports you'll need that longer focal length, and speed. The D7000 is a great camera.
