When I first got my Lensbaby I went to the gallery at their site and also found a flicker site for lensbaby pictures, and yes, I also felt sick after a while! Dizzy and loopy!

Can you do anything else with them than the graduate blur? I think that dropping 200-300 dollars for an effect you can do in photo-editing software may be excessive. Although, with the lensbaby on, you can see the effect in the field...

Wrong question... who wants to pay to have a picture like that when you can get it for free with 90 seconds of time behind the computer!

I respect everyone's right to choose what they want on the front of their camera, but I'd rather invest in quality lenses rather than a "gimmick" lenses that can be duplicated in software.

It is a novelty, kind of like a fish-eye lens. The first 100 pics are nice and all... but after that... boooooooring.

I have the second version of the LB... Its pretty darn fun to shoot with

Is it the best thing since slice bread... um no...
Is it the up to par with Canon Ls... um no...
Is it worth hating... um no.

"crucial artistic tool??" Hmmm.... I vaguely remember a photographer selling less than perfect prints successfully. Prints made from a light leakin, low quality, plastic lens, POS of a camera we all know as the Holga.... Anything and I mean anything can be an artistic tool.. right?

Seriously... It is a novelty item for photographers. I've certainly had enough enjoyment out of the lens for the low price of admission. Certainly a WHOLE lot more than the typical crap lens in the same price range (50mm f1.8 zippies excluded).

After all.. isn't that why most of us shoot.. to enjoy? (haters probably need to calm down and shoot more)

btw.. I believe they have glass lenses..... the second and third versions have some sort of coated lenses.

If someone has a K-mount 2.0 version and wants to trade for an EF (EOS) mount 2.0 version, PM me.
