lense?

i plan on getting/buying a 70-300mm lense for my N80.

there are 2 lenses i have in mind.

Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED

i dont want a G lense.

Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO Macro Super II

$200 (i can get it for under 200)


the lense i currently have is:
28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D

post your opinions on the lenses, IF you own one of them what are the Pros and Cons?

I'm not familiar with sigma optics as i've never used anything but nikon. i've heard complaints from time to time from people who use them, and haven't ever heard a complaint from people who use straight nikon / canon. i say go with the name brand and not worry about it.

the quality of the glass is much better on the D. i read that you cant have the camera set on M w/ the Gs
