Leopard Gecko-Close Up Advice

I would say start by picking the stuck shed off her nose.

I just got her yesterday. I didn't want to stress her out by over handling her. I was looking for photography suggestions not herp care.

Sorry if that sounded snotty I should have put a ;) after the "herp care".

It's fine. Stuck shed is a pet peeve of mine. My girlfriend and I spend several hours a week picking stuck shed.

I made a light box for shooting my herps. I just got some 14" white shelving and cut it into squares, then made a box with an opening at one end. Cut a hole in the top for a light, put some putty in the cracks, gave it a once over with some white paint and set it on a table. I have two more lights that go to the front on each side that I set up when I shoot.

This was taken right after I first got my D3000, so the Macro setting was used. Now, I use Aperture Priority, ISO 200 and variable aperture depending on the effect I want.

Using a tripod with these little guys is next to impossible. They move too much too fast.
