Let there be light!

So this morning I got to see what the big boy would do with a 1.4x extender. Some people on my FB page said I wouldn't be able to shoot handheld. It sure ain't easy, but I love a good challenge. Here are a few from this morning. Comments welcome and thanks for looking.

1 This was a test seeing what it would look like at 700mm and F5.6. Shutter speed was higher than needed, but I had Osprey near by.

Did you try that combo at f/8 just to see what it would look like ?

Only the Robin is wide open. The other ones are at F7.1 or F8. Trying to get the fine tune perfect. It has only been 3 days so far, but it looks like the next three are a washout

#2 is the winner!

But we really do need the rain, unlike Texas where I am heading right now. They have had way too much rain !!!!
