lexar problems with canon cameras

I heard that the lexar compact flash card have problems with canon slr...they delete pictures off of the card...well now i know for a fact that they do...some of my pictures are gone and there is just a yellow question mark...i read that there is a download on the lexar's website that can fix it but i cant find it...anyone have a link or something..i have a rebel xt and this is the card i have

I know someone that has a 12gb card and when the format it on a 5D, they only get 8gb of free space. It's really strange. I use kingston and sandisk cards and have never had a problem. Atleast not yet, I've only had my Canon for a couple months now. Try uploading the images onto your computer, and if they come up with half the image just grey, it means it's corrupted. If that's the case, reformat the card and try it again. If the problem continues, I'd send it to lexar and get it sorted out, or just get a new card. Maybe a different brand if you think it's a lexar problem.

YES! thats exactly what happened...i reformated it...it seems to be ok for now...if not i might just go head and get a new CF

Depending on your camera, your card might be too large.

Remember that older cameras use older file systems that can't handle some of the new cards over 8 gig.

Check your camera makers website for the card specs.

its only a 2 gig card
