Is this a re-edit, or a re-shoot? The braces don't jump off the screen and bite like they did last time

I think it's great. Maybe crowding the left side of the frame a tiny bit, and the key light seems a little cool compared to the rim light - but looks intentional.
I would be thrilled to get this image. Nice job.

I was using smart sharpen across the whole image and this time I used a mask and opacity.

I really think you need to seriously re-evaluate that warm hair/accent light and just ADD the fake color later, in post. Otherwise, you'll continue to color-contaminate the hair on countless frames.

I think if I had some kind of snoot, or softbox it would work better. This was kind of "hey, let's try this" I am considering buying the godox ad200 for a backlight, hair light.
