Nice shots. I was there in July and the smoke from the Babylon fire just south of Canyonlands killed any shots looking south. You got some great skies though.

thanks. dead horse state park is a small park nestled between arches and canyonlands national parks in moab.

thanks. i usually get smoky skies during my trips in september. i delayed the trip by a month this year and ended up with the remanants of a hurricane that ran me out of colorado instead. you just can't win.

Totally get what you are sayin! I lived on Kauai for 7 years and we had hurricane Iniki 9/11/92, which destroyed much of the island. I was working at the Hyatt Regency at the time, and a couple days after the storm I ran into a guest of ours and she seemed rather distraught so I started talking to her. She was having a hard time coping as she had come to Hawaii to escape the damage done by hurricane Andrew that leveled her house and much of the town she lived in a week earlier. Consider yourself lucky I guess.

Nice shots. Great place to visit. Some really impressive views. We got caught in a traffic jam - of cattle. Apparantly the land around there is open for grazing.

that's crazy. some people just run into some bad luck.

thanks alan. there were quite a few cattle grates keeping them penned in in different spots. i didn't see any cattle near the roadway that day.
