We have these all over the property, so I figured I would shoot a few of them since I loved the colors. I wanted to try some focus stacking on the third one, but I was unsuccessful. Maybe I will try again another day.
C&C always appreciated.

Whole, skim, or 2%?

;)

Nicely done, especially #2.
Thank you! I thought it was interesting in B&W too, but it didn't match the set. Since you liked it though...... Heres one just for you ;-)

those first two are really great! :)

Really like number three. Vivid color. Spot on focus. Nice work. Ed

Very nice - I like the colours and the bokeh that you have in these, although the third one has a bit of a distraction in the upper right, it is not that distracting compared to the main subject.

I think I prefer the coloured one to the black and white one.

Thanks! I did think about cloning out the other thistle in the background, but decided against putting in that much effort into post. Maybe next time I will bring along some gloves and sheers. Theres no picking these unless your willing to part with a little blood. ;-)

No problem. A little "gardening" is allowed, unless, of course, its a botanical garden or something similar. I have a kit that consists of a pair of small, ≈ 4" scissors, a pair of long (≈8") forceps, and a couple of very soft brushes. These all come in handy for cleaning up around flowers and things in the wild. If things get really tough, there is always the Leatherman tool kit :biggrin-93:. Never thought about a pair of gloves - maybe I will see if I can get a cheap pair of leather ones from the Dollar store.
