Thank you so much! This specific place is in New Hampshire, but not too far from Maine. And I agree, one of things I love about living up here are the endless woods and mountains. Can't help but gasp at beautiful scenery like this.

Wait - that can't be in the USA. There's not "Caution", or "Danger!" or fence or way of preventing people from putting themselves into danger.

Where I am standing, from where the picture is shot, there is a fence surrounding the entire rock. However, where my brother is sitting is not generally known by most people who go there; generally tourists. You have to go through the woods and dodge a couple branches and then you appear to be walking on this huge rock.. usually people who are in the fenced in spot are confused as to how people get over there.. but the locals know the secrets, I guess! That spot is actually for rock climbers, and if you look REALLY closely on the right side of the rock, you'll see a rock climber in action! But I agree completely, it is very dangerous to have a spot like that be open enough for anyone that gets to it.. and I actually know a person who committed suicide off of this rock a few years ago, you would think they would have a fence by now!

Well, after watching a tourist take an unintentional slide off the side of just such a place in the Grand Canyon, my immediately feel to this shot is, "stupid is as stupid does." The tourist got a 15 second view of the Grand Canyon that few will ever get before he splattered on the canyon floor. It was one of those youthful, "Hey Guys, Watch This," moments. Darwin at his best.

I thought I would see someone slide in my last visit there..... crazy. Kinda puts a damper on the experience.

Oh my! Well I assure you my brother was hanging on for his dear life, and was safe to crouch down and slowly slide himself towards the edge, and do the opposite to get back up. He survived it! But I don't recommend people to do this. I certainly would not trust myself enough!
