Definitely in the middle of winter - not much other than brown and white. And yet was able to find the last vestiges of summer life.

Second one takes the cake, for me at least. It has wonderful "balance". #3 is heavy toward the bottom right. #1 is dull and dark, and not interesting. #2 is very,very elegantly done.

Thanks for the comments. Cropping on #3 did allow me to shift things left in the frame. ???
