Light meter?

I have a couple of old cameras with no built in meter.
I would like to buy an older(or modern?) handheld meter.

I don't even know where to start.
Can someone make some recomendations? I see some old meters on eBay, but like I said, I'm not sure what to get.

Look into a Sekonic meter.

Do you also want flash metering capability?

I love my Sekonic 508, which is old enough it ought to be pretty cheap. Incident, adjustable spot, and flash metering included.

As a starter: Get a Gossen Scout or Pilot meter in mint condition with manual.

The trouble with old meters is you want to make sure they still make the battery for them.

Also, definitely get one with the flash option for whenever. It'll be worth the extra cost the first time you need it.
