I'm going back to shooting film to re-acquaint myself with the basics (I've not exactly forgotten them but using digital cameras has slowed me down).

So I've a question. I have two light meters one in ASA and the other ISO. How can I determine what an ASA reading is in ISO and vice versa.

One camera I use is an old Kodak Retina IIC which has limited ASA, the highest (on the Kodalux L light meter) and the other is an older Sekonic using only ISO.

I'd appreciate any help on this (and I hope I've made myself clear).

Thanks Scott I looked at the article. It's going to make a huge difference. I can stop sweating now and rely mostly on the Kodalux L and worry about the Sekonic later.

For all intents and purposes they are the same. See This Article on Wikipedia.

I was thinking the same thing - ISO and ASA use the same numbers/settings, the standards were changed from being called American to International. DIN is different (was a German scale/standards).
