Light painting project tonight ... need help asap.

hello people

Tonight i wissh to light paint my car... but i tried this afternoon in a closet with a shoe and i came out overly saturated due to the long exposure ... is that normal and how to avoid

the image posted has been de saturated using the gamet warning in Photoshop.

The 'long exposure' is because of ambient lighting. If it's dark outside, then ambient light will not be a factor.

But won't saturation be a problem?

Not if you properly expose the image using any lighting.
