Lighting help and C&C Please

Here are 2 photos with slightly different lighting .. Please let me know what you think of the lighting and DOF only .. I am practicing today and I think I have my lights setup correctly. Again C&C on lighting and DOF only .. They are right out of the camera .. no post processing done at all ..

IMO i think you should bring the subject off the background some more. I can see every wrinkle in the backdrop.
How many lights are you using?

2 umbrellas ( Britek HS-2000 Strobe Light 440w/s ) and 1 hair light ( Britek#3495 HS-600 Strobe Light 168w/s ) threw a softbox. I am using this setup I bought PHOTOGRAPHY 1180W STUDIO FLASH LIGHTING KIT WITH BOOM - eBay (item 200510715526 end time Apr-17-11 23:18:46 PDT) ... (God Please dont tell me they are crap lighting .. lol)

I really would like to pull them farther away from the backdrop however at this point I just don't have the room to pull them any farther away .. As soon as my new room is built I will be fine .. but until than .....................................

There is a bit more ratio in #1, but not by much.
