First off.. I'm in no way wanting to have a "full-blown" portrait kit...

I saw this kit from B&H and am curious if this will work for basic family portraits (actually my family), photos of the new grandson, some church stuff. I mean basic stuff, and even some product type shots.

I know sometimes, by reading them myself, that there seems to be some questions on here that I read and think, "Are they stupid, or what?", and I hope this isn't one of those questions, but I thought I'd throw it out just the same.

Here's the link: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/404508-REG/Impact_EX100A_2KII_Two_Monolight_Kit_.html

Thanks in advance!

I should have read the reviews before I even asked you guys! This would be a "No Buy" for me after all.

For $90 more, you can get these:

They're basically rebranded Elinchrom D-lite 2 monolights, if what people say is true.

The use Elinchrom modifiers and they have a good upgrade path if you decide you want bigger and better.
