Well, I've been a part of an automotive photographers group on Facebook for a while now, and have seen a lot of absolutely incredible work done with light painting. Thought I would look it up and give it a try on something smaller first. Here's the result-looking for comments, critique, and any advice with this. ISO 100, 30 seconds, f32. Thanks for your help so far, folks.

using a multi-led light? turned out great.

seeing how the lens reflects the light, might lend itself to trying to light the camera in a way that plays into that.

Yup, 5 LED flashlight. I was trying to make a frame in the lens, but I apparently made it the wrong way. LOL whoops. I'll try something without a lens for the next attempt, maybe a car. We'll see what I can dig up around here to try this with. It has some great potential as I've seen from others. Maybe there will be a stormtrooper in one of my future attempts after all. :) Thanks guys!
