NYC Skyline With Downward Streaks - A slightly stylized shot of the basic NYC skyline taken a few weeks ago. Did a 10 second exposure on a tripod, held it still for 8 seconds, than for the last two seconds I tilted the camera up on a fluid head to get the light streaks. Lightly tweaked in Photoshop but the streak effect, and 99% of the look, was all in camera.
I also played around with various lenses and directions of smear. They were all kind of neat and interesting and I may post others here, but the concept is the same.
Mostly looking to share as I thought it turned out interesting, and just go get a general reaction. While I would not be offended by a detailed technical critique it was just sort of an experiment that I thought turned out interesting. Open to feedback and critique but it was just playing around that I thought turned out well, especially as a series.
Tech Details:
Camera: Sony A7Rm2
Lens: Sony G FE 50mm 1.8
Exposure: 10 sec
Aperture: ƒ8
ISO: 100
Original Resolution: 7952x5308 (camera native)
