Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I am purchasing a Nikon D3300 camera. I want to purchase the lightroom editing program. I see they are close to $200 for the program but yet the ratings aren't that good. I don't have a lot in my budget and was wondering which edition one you would suggest?

I am using Windows 8.1

Thank you

Get the latest and greatest and always have the latest and greatest.

Adobe has a subscription service for Photography that includes Photoshop CC 2015 & LR CC - for $9.99 a month ($119.88 a year).
With the subscription, as soon as updates are available we can get them.

Note that Adobe includes both Photoshop CC 2015 & LR CC 2015 because LR cannot do as much as Photoshop can. LR was designed for photographers as a compliment, front end application to Photoshop, not as a replacement for Photoshop.

What are you planning to do with Lighroom? I mainly use it for mass exposure, color correction, and color grading.

I went with the Lightroom and Photoshop subscription. Lightroom even by itself is a brilliant piece of software. Not sure where you are getting the bad reviews from.

Lightroom was designed by photographers, for photographers.

I like to say that it does 90% of what 90% of photographers need to do for their digital workflow.
Sure, it can't do some of the things that Photoshop can do, so most photographers will have both.

Agree! I do the vast majority of my processing in LR; I still use PS for certain things, but probably 1/2 - 2/3 of my images never even get loaded into PS; LR does everything they need.

Great! The review on the sites that I was looking to purchase the program from.

I will be buying Lightroom then. Now to figure it out. :)

Are you located in US? LR should not be close to $200. It should be a little less than $150.

The LR/PS Bundle is payable by the month so if you decide after a couple of months it's not for you - just cancel. BUT, I think once you get into this software and use it for your still photos and video you'll never look back. I know I wouldn't want to be without Lightroom, Adobe Bridge and Photoshop.
