Lights or Exposure

Occasionally, I will get a series of photos that appears to have different exposure settings as you can see in the pictures attached. The camera was set to manual with a shutter 500, ISO 3200, A 2.8 with a custom white balance setting and set to bust 4.5 frames. Camera is a D90 with a Tamron 70-200 2.8 lens. This pool was in a basement with light around the edge of the pool deck. I am thinking the camera is picking up the lights cycling as this does not happen at every pool where my son's team. Any thoughts?

It's the cycling lights in the pool area. It will always happen in gyms, on football fields, etc with those crappy lights. Nothing you can do about it besides fix in post.

Many types of light do that 60 times a second (60 Hz).
