What's new

Likes Received

Joel_W--likes on TPF are a LOT like the S&H Green Stamps that your Mom and Grandma used to collect. Do you remember how those things were everywhere??? In kitchen drawers? Some in the car glove box? Some in the dining room in a bowl? A few on the bedroom dresser, perhaps? We know we want to "do something with them", but like S&H Green Stamps, most likes will go unredeemed...left alone...abandoned...

Maybe I'm shallow and insecure, but I'd love to have 2000 likes. :)

Strange. When I edit the post, the 'Like' disappears, but when I refresh the page it's back.

Hey Josh,

Nice post, within a post, within a post.

The likes are the only reason I stick around!

But as for the OP I am pretty sure that this is just a database query and takes up about 3 bytes of data.

Gimmie a like plz.

One forum I haunt used to have "Exhalt" and "Smite". It was removed when the admin realized most people didn't understand the meanings.

I actually like that! :)
I would "Exalt" that, if we had the option.

I'd like to see a STFU option.
That would be the "Smite" option.

Likes make me feel better about myself. They make me feel like perhaps I am a useful part of this community. When I get liked, I feel more valued, somehow. Doesn't matter if everyone here thinks my photos suck, it only matters that they LIKE me.

No, seriously, it is downright Bizarre how good I feel about getting "likes." Granted, I usually get mine for being amusing instead of actually helpful, but one uses whatever gifts one has.

Many times, I also use "like" to basically say, "Yeah. What they said." without all the typing.

I would NEVER delete a like. They can delete all my posts, if they run out of room, definitely my photos...but don't take my Likes!!

Do you get a notification if someone "unlikes" a post they had previously "liked"? Someone do that to me so I know what happens. Sometimes I want to like someone's post just so I can unlike it but I want to make sure they get the appropriate message.

I didn't when Dots up and unliked everything he previously liked that I posted ....

Why Dots... Why???

I liked / unliked you several times.. did it work? I did leave it "Liked" because I understand the sentiment behind your comment entirely too well!
