Lime Kilns

I upped the contrast on here and played with the B&W tones a bit. It was a bit difficult to get the angles I wanted because there was chain-linked fence that I had to shoot through. Let me know what you think, though. Thanks!

#1 seems to be lacking in highlights? Lots of mid tones & shadow!

I like #2 the most. Nice composition, contrast & tonal range. But then again I like contrasty images.

Not sure about the composition in #3, but the textures on the rocks look good.

I agree with PlasticSpanner: Photo 2 is the best.
What are they for (or were, I better say)?
