Been experimenting with Rodinal last night by adding 18mg of Sodium Sulphite to 12ml of Rodinal and 300ml of water, ive read on the internet that it can reduce grain and give move speed

Picture is quite smooth, of course if you send me 8X10 print I could see it better.
What is your opinion about this addition of sodium sulfite ? The amount you added is less, then in D76 formula (100g/l). How looks the grain ?
Sodium sulfit is not increasing the speed of a film, rather the opposite, as its action is to remove metallic (already developed) silver from emulsion causing less density. But in this amount you used it no problem. With ultra fine grain stuff you would have to downgrade the film speed to get printable negs.
This picture seems fine, too bad the face of the Madonna and Baby are in the shade.
