I'm sorry ... I guess I'm not getting the artistic intent ... I like the texture in the pavement. We have hard straight, angular lines coexisting with soft, flowy lines in the shadows.

Maybe it conveys to me desolation/lonliness/end of day ... ?

I think what attracted me to this was the elements you mention, the contrast of the painted and shadow lines, and also the texture. As for what it conveys, that's up to the viewer; for me it seemed a little ominous, but mostly just an interesting composition.

for me I see it in opposing layers. one is the man made perfectly drawn lines. The second the chaotic shadows of nature.

well for me, it's kind of difficult to see the picture properly because it's large and I have to scroll up and down
