Little Brother's Senior Photos

I don't take senior portraits often because ew no, but my little brother is graduating high school, so I decided to make this an exception.

Plus, we shot the photos on our family ranch, which, to be honest, holds sooo much more value than some barn or field somewhere.

Kind of dramatic and a-typical for a senior portrait, but I like it.

And lastly, here's my brother sitting on the porch of our childhood home with Sadie, our 10-year-old Blue Heeler. Right after this shot it began hailing, so we had to pack it in for the night.

I guess they came out O.K. Unfortunately, it was pretty overcast most of the day, which meant dealing with murky skies and bags under the eyes when a reflector wasn't possible. But even if all the photos from that day turned out terrible, I'm just really glad I got that last one. Really, really glad.

these are all really good. Exposures seem a little on the bright side, could just be a personal preference though if you think they are fine they are fine. well, and 2 he isn't separating too well from the background with that white shirt.

Thanks. Yeah, the white shirt in the second was an issue against the white sky. I had to burn down the shirt so it didn't blend in as well, heh.

I am proud. He's graduating Valedictorian and he's going to the same university I am, although as he's coming in I will be graduating. That's just the way it goes. :/

Very nicely done. First one particularly does seem rather bright, but well framed and composed and rather unique I think. Wonder if now his friends will be bugging you to do their senior photos.

Very nice, I really like 3 and 4 but I think 4 is my favorite. The lighting is superb!

I like these, a lot. I like 'em all, but 3,4 and 6 are outstanding. Especially #4. I think what appeals to me most about 3 and 6 is that you've captured him in surroundings that will be meaningful for years to come.

Yeah, my dad still owns it. He was actually living in it until last Christmas when he finally got the new home that he had been building for the past 10 years finished. The house in the photo didn't have any central heating and it was only built as a one bedroom so my brother and I slept in what would have been a tea room or sewing room.

So my dad decided to heck with this and started building a house that was actually functional as a modern home. Unfortunately, he didn't finish it in time for me to live there, haha.
