He's 2 years old and actually wanted to take these pics, so he can get them in the mail to Dadddy ASAP, LOL.

Shot in RAW and used two exposures to restore some of the overexposed highlights in the background. Kinda like an HDR (does anyone else do this?)
Settings:
Canon EOS 500d, 50mm, f3.5, 1/99 sec, iso 100, Manual

Not bad, but i would crop as well. And yes, it's called tone mapping.

I'm a newbie but I'll agree it is very centered.

but from a moms perspective I bet dad will almost cry when he gets this in the mail

thanks for the info, I've heard of tone mapping before but now I guess I know what it is, I need to look it all up and make sure I'm doing it correctly Thanks!
