you must of gotten very lucky and been in a well lit area. great shots

i normally shoot 100 pictures or so of each band when i photograph a concert. often, many of those are no good. even with that 1.8 lens, sometimes it's still too dark to get good shots.

anything under a 1/125 shutter speed almost always produces motion blur..especially at rock shows. and at with that 50mm lens, shots are a lot sharper at a stop or two higher than the largest aperture.

it's all about timing my shots with the spot/stage lights and keeping the band members in my sights.....luck has a lot to do with it!

i hear you man, i shoot for my buddies band and a few others in very poor lit bars and timing is everything

I dig the shot of Travis from Gym Class. I shot photos for those guys before they were huge. They were pretty cool dudes.
