Hey all, I've never shot sports or action before, but a little while ago I came across a little mountain biking demo in my city, and decided I'd take a couple of shots. Here are the results, C&C would be much appreciated:

You got the idea just not the right equipment. I think the third one is pretty kool though.

Curious as to what is wrong with his equipment??? I hope you meant settings. The D40 is not a pro level camera by any means but is pretty competent.

EDIT: Just saw your sig, must be one of those guys who thinks Canon is the greatest thing put on the Earth. :crazy:

To the OP, turn the ISO up, open up the aperature as wide as possible (lower number) and try to get the shutter speed up to atleast 1/50th of a second.

Why were you shooting at F9 and F16 open up the lens minimum shutter speed 1/250, slower if panning
