This man was the longtime owner of our local camera store. I had the pleasure of talking with him many times, He was a wealth of information both history and photography. Over the years he compiled a history of the area in photographs, some were copies of shots by others that came through the store, some by his father, some of his own. On his passing his collection was donated CONTENTdm

I thought that place looked familiar. That's right across from Ryan's Wake right? Awesome place, I need to go back sometime.

Had a local camera shop shut down last year after 46(?) years of business. They just can't compete with big box/online stores. Ya hate to see it, but I was able to take a photo of one of the fine gentlemen working there. I'll be posting it in the black & white gallery.
I got tapes and a book, really wish I had spent more time there.

Small world; I'm pretty sure I know the place you're talking about. I bought alot of stuff and both my enlargers there. Just down the road from that bookstore you posted right?

Oh yes. Poor ol' Moler's couldn't make it against the internet sales.

I already miss that place. No more physical stores anywhere in the area anymore. At least I can still get paper and chemicals there.

Same here, closest store is 70 miles away, next is 130 miles.
