I like the concept, but the shot is really noisy, was that intended or just necessary due to low light? It is hard because the phone gets lost in the background, it doesn't contrast enough. Otherwise interesting.

I agree. I'm not saying this because I don't like your idea, I do....

I would have tried coming up from below the phone and tried getting a shot looking up toward the box. Have the receiver in focus with a large DOF so it would graduate to a blur going up the cord. I think that would remove some of the distractions. A lot of what I find myself looking at in the picture is the texture of the walls. The glass and shine really call out for attention.

i too like the idea, i'd like to see the rest of the phone (booth part), no shadow in the shot and less noise...maybe even in B/W then hung above a table where the house phone resides...
