Thanks Western guy. It is marked as such the beach butts up to a military instulation. Not much of a deterent ya think?

Thanks. Maybe not much unless they are using "live ordinance", and then there are all the other military things to deal with. This reminds me of the White Sands in New Mexico which are adjacent to a major Air Force Base and a missile range, and sometimes, I am told, things do go amiss.

I believe the missile range is sort of named after the White Sands National Monument - White Sands National Monument - Wikipedia - created in 1933. The Missile Range and all the surrounding areas that go with it wasn't officially established until around 1945, although there had been some testing of rockets and other related things since the thirties. FYI, the first nuclear bomb was tested in this area in 1945.

Nice image. I enjoy the processing and colors of the image. The long exposure gives it a nice soft and smooth look. I really want to start working on more long exposure shots myself.

While the poles are straight(-ish), the horizon is unlevel and nearly in the middle of the shot, which is throwing me off. Leveling the image may make it stronger. In addition to leveling, while I normally like negative space, for me, I think there's too much here. The poles and sign are squished to the left of the photo. It has an uneasiness to it... maybe you were going for that given the subject? I think a different crop might work well here.

In addition, there is some pretty wicked CA on the poles which could probably be fixed up easily in post processing.
