Yup, that first one is just screaming for a caption - "fine, if you don't want to come south then don't!" - I am sure there are lots of others that folks could think up -

Nice images, too bad the "scoundrel" in the second one, if that's what he/she is, isn't in focus - but the message is there.

I really like both compositions.

Picture #1, I would have focused on the 1st Seagull, then made sure that I had amble DOF so that the 2nd Seagull is in focus.
