I like the colours and the feel of deep the smoke gives to this picture. I would like to look at this from different angle with no bridge.

Where is this? I'm going to be traveling in parts of the province for about ten days or so and would like to avoid the wildfire areas as much as possible.

I'm in Quesnel, but it has been raining all day here so the fire risk in the Cariboo is down significantly. I was just talking with some firefighters and they said southern BC didn't get any of this rain and is where most fire activity is at the moment. There are a couple of fires in Kelowna and parts of the city are evacuated, a big one around Lillooet or Lytton, and lots in the Kootenays. The Peace has a lot of big fires too, Hudson Hope has been evacuated.

From Vancouver Island to Edson Ab then on to Stewart and Hyder Ak. Then home.

Oh nice, it's a good trip between Meziadin Junction and Stewart. That is where I saw my first grizzly bear.

Along your route, I know there were fires around Jasper and Fraser Lake but I think with this weather they must be at least somewhat under control...

Thanks for the info. Leaving Wed. looks like it's actually going to take closer to two weeks, as I want to stop a lot for photos.
