looking for a point and shoot camera

hi-
i am currently shopping for a new camera. i had a canon sd20 but there was no optical zoom and now it's broken too. and the sony dsc t1 has a broken flash.oh and the pictures were always blurry on the sony. now i am looking for a small compact camera that will take good pictures indoors and outdoors with good picture quality, battery life, and anything else necessary. iwas looking at the canon sd300,pentax optio s and the pentax optio wpi. what do ya'll think? thank you for your help

my litle sis has a coolpix its two years old and has survided the abuse of a ten year old and two stays at summer camp, takes good shots and is very ruged

I have a Canon SD400 and love it. Great images and very easy to use! It's also quite fast. Quick power on time and very little shutter lag.

Pros:
Small and light
Good picture quality
Some manual settings (ISO, white balance, exposure)
2″ LCD
Color effects

Cons:
No battery indicator until very low battery
Grainy ISO 400 images
Cannot directly control shutter speed

If you are willing to spend more and want more MP consider the SD500 or SD550. If you just want a larger screen look at the SD450.
