Looking for a printer - Canon PIXMA PRO-100

I've been looking for an "enthusiast" level printer. 13x19 is large enough.


Is this a good one?

The only "con" I've seen is the high price of replacement ink.

I bought this printer after another member here spoke so highly of it. I have no regrets it prints beautifully. There is a thread on TPF where the aforementioned member addressed an after market refill kit but, with the new forum lay out I'm not sure I can locate it.

I do have a couple issues with the printer.
1. It stinks that you have to manually put in the larger 13X19 sheets.
2. The printer has to be updated as soon as you buy it or it won't give you proper ink levels.
Both are pretty minor complaints. I would buy this printer again.

I tried to locate the thread that talks about the ink refills but, this new TPF update sucks and I am unable to locate it. I really wish that they would have left the app alone or made one that was similar to the old one. It was so simple, quick, and did everything I needed it to do with out all the extra bs.

I don't know. I'm sure they didn't but, the search option IMO is just as useless as it was before. I wish they would have worked on that. I tried to look at my old content which is supposed to show all the stuff I commented on and there are large gaps of missing content.

Anywho. I highly recommend this printer and the refill kit.

I got the refill kit from Precision Colors I believe.

Let me see if I can find their website.......

I looked for a thread so not to start a redundant one but didn't see one (maybe I searched wrong). Thanks for all the info anyway.
