I bought this cheap insurance for my Vivitar 283 so I can use it with my 30D.

Maybe I don't need it, but I felt $50 keeps me safe (that was before I had the extra $$ to buy my 430EX).

I still use the 283 when I need a second flash and with my DIY ringflash.
