Looking for some advice

Canon made a complete break from the old FD mount in 1987 and introduced the all-electronic EF mount (with in-lens motors) with the EOS camera line. All EF mount lenses sold since 1987 are fully-functional (including auto-focus) when mounted on even the cheapest Canon DSLR.

And it's even clearer with Pentax as ALL their lenses work just fine ( with the exception of literally two ultra rare ones from their failed first AF attempt - and those two work fine in manual focus mode) from the last 50 years approxximatly. Oh and Canon do have exceptions in so much if you get a full frame camera can't use crop frame lenses. Pentax don't do crop frame so that's not an issue. Rumour is their competitor to the full frame SLR's will be to utilize their 645 lenses as their 645 MF equipment is hugely popular with professionals.

It took quite a while, but I ended up getting a Canon T1i. so far I like it, it was relatively easy to convert from P&S to d-SLR. I just need to learn how to take clear photos, so far they are super grainy. Even the outside photographs with ISO at 100. (low ISO for high light and high ISO for low light?)

Thank you for all the advice, it did help a lot. I never saw Nikon D200's at my local Best buys stores, so that is one reason I went with Canon.
