What's new

Looking for tough love..........

i love these. a few of them have a bit of a yellow color cast especially #1.
in #5 her face is also a bit shiny.

I absouetly love them! Great work, I just wish I had great sernery like that at my weddings, majority of mine are dull and nothing unique so its hard to come up with ideas all the time..

No expert here by any means and I have absolutely nothing to add but I really must tell you that I think these are wonderful shots one and all....She looks to be a sassy woman and that comes across in every shot......The one with the doors is genius and the way you made use of the colors is just beautiful! Very well done imho!! Nice work Cindy!! : )

Thanks soooo much Photo Gal and everyone!

6 thru 10 looks like Magazine material! :D

3 & 4...More light needs to be on her upper half - her dress is well lit by the sunlight but her face, arms and upper body seem a bit dark, could be me but we'll see what everyone else says. :)

These are fantastic, I really love the comp in #2 , really cool shot there. I like how you captured the ambient light, some of the shots look like you used a softbox perfectly. She is gonna lovem ! or they. I'm learning off some of the replies here, thx for posting these.

Very nice photos !

Very beautiful shots. And you were lucky to have such a beautiful model.

I agree that a boost in contrast would help some of the shots, but you don't need a lot. And maybe a slight color shift. In the first one, maybe +5 red and -5 yellow. With several of them, her being in the shade and the background being in sunlight makes her light seem a bit dull. As mentioned, some fill light would help that.

In the second shot, that bright arch steals my attention. I think if you block it out with your hand, you might see what I mean. Now the bride and bouquet have the light and the attention.

I really love how the light falls on her in 8. The bright light in the background is a little distracting. I would try to compose a little different next time so that you don't have those bright spots.

One of the tricks I was taught along with "check the corners" and other things was to check for "bright". The eye tends to go to the bightest parts of the image. Are the bright spots important? Are the parts that are lit where you want the viewer's eyes to go? It's like looking for telephone poles. In the first one, the sunlight on the side of the tree trunks and flowers (and even her shoulder) is a bit like having a power line in the image. It's not as unnatural, but it can be distracting.
