Looking Up at Downtown

Hi all,

thought I'd try my hand at some building photography last week in San Francisco. I don't have a PC lens, so I thought I'd go to the other extreme. I call this series "Looking Up at Downtown".

I like most of them, particularly the fire escape one. Some of them seem cropped a little too tightly (though understandable when you're photographing skyscrapers from the street) and unless the building really is that color, the "235" building looks too yellow for concrete. Excellent work though, I love architecture shots.

Hi Raddy,

thanks for looking. I think I agree about the 235 building, which was why I backed off a little on the vibrancy settings in Lightroom and posted a second version (number 7 in the gallery). That one's much closer to the actual colour of the building (though I did tweak the sky a bit )

I enjoyed taking these, as it was a very different approach to my usual shots
