I recently visited a Baton Rouge landmark. These photos are all untouched small (2.5 megapixel) JPEGs, straight out of the EOS 40D, shot with the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens.

Exterior views:
The state capitol building is an imposing edifice.
Grand hall:
I was quite pleased with how well these came out, considering that they were shot hand-held in a dark hall.
Senate Chamber:
This room was a dark hole with bright windows on the opposite wall. I used a bit of exposure compensation.
House Chamber:
The ceiling in the house chamber is made of bagasse, and is much lighter than in the Senate.
Vista:
The real reason to visit the capitol building was for the elevated views that it provides of Baton Rouge.
