Today we had some magnificent clouds that just begged to be shot. Too bad that by the time I got my camera the best clouds had already gone. I still kinda enjoyed the mood in these photos. Your opinions and C&C?

Dang it. I've tried to calibrate my laptop screen but I guess it's still off..

I got so sick of trying to calibrate my laptop that I went out and bought an iMac.

How do you calibrate your screen? You must be able to do it on a desktop right? I don't have a Mac unfortunately

What's the easiest way to calibrate a mac screen?

I use the Spyder calibration software om all of my computers (including the macs).

How well calibration works depends on the type of display being calibrated.

Most laptops have TN displays (twisted nematic), the type that is thel east desirable for image editing (very narrow accurate viewing angles), plus laptops have few of the adjustment needed to accurately calibrate, like a gamma adjustment.

For critical editing with a laptop it's recommend an external quality IPS type (in-plane switching) display be plugged into the laptop, like Dell's UltraSharp line of displays..
