A photoshoot I did last night, the setup was my Nikon d5000 on a tripod with a remote shutter release.

Lens - Sigma 18-50 2.8

flash head to the right with a softbox turn to light the model and not the wall. Hair Light flash with honeycomb and barndoors to light selectively
and finally a black reflector to the left

all of this was done in a gymnasium with the light off, the model being nearly 10 feet away from the wall

1/200 s f 18-22 ( variable) to cut off any stray ambient lighting and to get this effect

On the two verticals, it would help to crop off some of the excess space on the left hand side of their respective frames. This is especially visible on the first shot, where he is very low and to the right in the frame.
