I love the lighting! I am just a bit confused by everything else going on around him, it may work a bit better as a tighter crop.

I might try get rid of the lights in the background but I wanted to keep the machine he was looking up at thanks guys.

You were completely correct not to crop this shot. without the TV screen, It's just a kid squatting on the ground looking up. That's would be disturbing. The TV is needed. You made the right move.
