LR3 ....@!#$

Been using mine since August, have the update. Never had a crash. Good luck hon.

I'm trying the LR3 trial - day 4 of 30.

Mine crashed yesterday - 3 times.

System specs:

Windows 7 Ultimate - 64 bit
Intel i5 CPU
4 gigs ram
nVidia 460

First application crash with this PC since I built it in August. (I usually run in Linux though so this might not be relevant)

After the crash, Windows spit out a dialogue box wanting to phone home about the error and then indicated it would run the application in compatibility mode going forward. No crashes since then. The PC had been up a while so it could have been a memory leak - no way to know at this point.

No answers here, just adding my 2 cents.

Also - I'm finding that LR doesn't seem to play nice with images edited in Nikon View NX2. Still looking into that situation.

Have you had any more crashes since then?

I ran a ton of scans-- finding 3 infected files In Malware- defrag'd- reinstalled LR3... doing some stress tests on it now... seeing if it will crash again. So far so good
Have to get some duster cans and get inside the case and do some cleaning still...

Maybe it was a corrupted file from the install?!

Ill be back if it keeps it up, Thanks for the help guys!

No, not yet - I edited my reply to state that.

Make sure that you have all of the latest windows updates as well as all the latest adobe updates. Ive been using LR3 since launch with out any stability issues.

What are your PC specs? I havent herd of problems with a 64bit CPU, Im using a 32 bit one.

Windows 7 ultimate, 32 bit, 2 gig ram,.... everything else im not sure of lol, I have to ask my other half when he gets home from work :er: sorry

4G of RAM might not prevent your problem from recurring, but I wouldn't run less than that on today's desktops. My LR3.2 has never had a problem- even on my Dell XPS laptop. Get the 3.2 update, for sure...

Come tax-time.. My computer is going to be rebuilt...definitely needs more of everything though

It could be your graphics card. I know some software has problems with ATI cards ( like OnOne Phototools for instance ). Maybe LR3 is having this issue also. Call tech support or go to adobe.com for help.....that is, if its a legit copy.
