LumiQuest Softbox III

Have been playing with LumiQuest Softbox III for a while. Seems to be a useful gadget, even though it's not as versatile as other diffusers and bouncers.
It's large (for a hot shoe light modifier) - 8"x9", but folds flat. Works great for product and macro photography. Some great portraits can be done too.
The unit blocks auto-focus assist beam. Make sure you're OK with that.

I was curious about what the best flash zoom setting is (to use with portable sofboxes). Does flash zoom make a big difference?
As it turns out the lighting differs significantly depending on flash zoom setting. I tested at 14mm, 24mm, 50mm and 105mm from 2 and 6 feet.
